I had the privilege of being named the Louth Naughton Scholar in October 2025. This was a life changing moment for me, that not only provides financial support for my studies - but also was the pathway to meet a collection of exceptional people.
Not only is this a scholarship - it is an experience. This year, the scholars of the years 2022-2025 met at Kylemore Castle for a retreat. This experience is that of a feaverdream. Even now it feels sureal. Whether it was listening to inspiring stories from people across the world, spending time with my peers or climbing through a bog, caked in mud - the experience was unforgettable.
I cannot recommend applying for the naughton scholarship more. It is a monumental opportunity for any student sitting the leaving cert who has an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics. The application is straightforward.
